How do I delete my picture?

In the member menu, click the link that says upload picture. There you will see a button for deleting your picture.

How come the ratings are not a straight average?

We feel that due to the high amount of people that rate everyone a 1, that a straight average is not accurate. To negate the effect of 1's we use the root mean square method. In other words it is the square root of the average of the squares of your ratings. Understand? Well if not, then check out google for more information on root mean square.

Here's a basic example: one person rates you a 2, the second person rates you a 10. Normally you would get a 6.0 ranking. But, using root mean square, 2 is squared to give 4, 10 is squared to give 100. The average of 100 and 4 is 52. The square root of 52 is 7.2. So, your rating is 7.2

What does it mean that my picture is "Queued".

Queued means that your picture is still waiting to be either approved or rejected

What does it mean that my picture is "Disabled".

Disabled means that your picture was rejected from being shown on the site.

Why was my picture not approved?

Check the upload picture page for the latest rules. If your picture fits all the rules but still was not approved then it was probably not accepted due to suspicion that it was a fake pic. Email admin@desihotpoint.com to clear things up. Make sure to include your username and user ID number.

It's been 3 weeks and my picture still isn't approved. What's going on?

Your picture was processed and denied ("disabled"). Please read the rules and upload a new picture.

What order are the pictures displayed in?

They are displayed from newest account to oldest account by the account number.. Note: if you have an old account but upload a new picture, your new picture will not show up at the front (or even near the front). This is because you still have an old account number.
